Positive Educational Partnerships (PEP) is grateful to share that we have been awarded a $9,000 grant through the North Valley Community Foundation from the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Fund.

This funding will support Wellness Centers in schools across multiple districts throughout Butte County, expanding access to resources that help students regulate emotions, manage stress, and return to class ready to learn.

The Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Fund was established in response to the 2018 Camp Fire to support long-term recovery efforts in our region, with a focus on youth health and wellness. While recovery looks different across communities, the need for ongoing student support remains clear.

Through this grant, PEP is providing Wellness Center resources such as sensory tools, books, games, and calming materials—items that are used daily by students who need a moment to pause and reset.

While the resources themselves are simple, their impact is meaningful.

Across schools, students are using Wellness Centers to take short breaks, regulate emotions, and re-engage in learning. Staff continue to share that these spaces help create a more supportive environment—one where students feel safe, supported, and better prepared to succeed.

Expanding this work across multiple districts allows more students to benefit from these supports, while also strengthening the connection between schools and the broader community.

We are deeply grateful to the North Valley Community Foundation and the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Fund for their continued investment in local schools and students. Their support is helping ensure that Wellness Centers remain equipped and available for the students who rely on them every day.
